Anne Swigard, the principal trainer for Educational Training Specialists, has been performing staff development for teachers, professional development for teachers and teacher workshop since 1998, at the site, district, state and national levels, and is currently faculty for Staff Development Resources, a national educational training organization.

She has trained thousands of teachers in best practices related to the field of second language acquisition, literacy, vocabulary development, and best teaching practices. She has worked with students K-Adult, in Bilingual, Immersion, Dual Language, Structured English Immersion, and English as a Second Language environments, and is a qualified trainer of SIOP™, SDAIE, 6 Traits, and Thinking Maps™. Her original trainings are a synthesis of best practices in every aspect of education, including Robert Marzano, et al’s Strategies that Work, brain research, integrated curriculum, and research related to second language acquisition. She has lived in four countries, taught in Korea and Japan, and is bilingual in Spanish and English.

The trainers associated with Educational Training Specialists have each trained hundreds, if not thousands, of teachers in their areas of expertise. They are highly trained, current practitioners in the field in which they present, are engaging, and wonderfully reviewed by workshop participants.
